Researchers point to risk of fewer carbs and extra protein
WOMEN on Atkins-style diets are putting themselves at danger of heart disease, experts have warned.
Experts said a high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet increased the risk if eaten regularly.
Researchers found if women decreased carb intake by 20g a day and increased protein by 5g, they had a 5% increased risk of cardiovascular disease.
