A SWORD-WIELDING man who had a near seven-hour stand-off with police in Aberdeen has admitted reckless conduct.
Specialist police units attended and an Aberdeen street was sealed off to residents during the late-night incident.
Daniel Campbell appeared from custody at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday where he admitted culpable and reckless conduct during the March 27 incident.
The 25-year-old repeatedly pushed a sword through a letterbox at an address at Jute Street, which led to Grampian Police sealing off the street, in the Mounthooly area of Aberdeen.
Campbell, who was described in court papers as a prisoner in Craiginches, was remanded in custody until he is sentenced on July 12.
