Green aims for Rangers to step on to highest rung
But Third Division looms large

CHARLES Green will push for his newco Rangers to play football at the highest level possible after his application for entry to the SPL was consigned to failure more than a week before a vote.
Inverness, Aberdeen and St Johnstone joined Hearts, Dundee United and Hibernian in confirming their intention to reject Green’s application to acquire Rangers’ share in the competition next Wednesday.
