A WOMAN who pretended to be deaf to steal money from a bank has been jailed.
Lisa Walker, 24 – whose address was give in Aberdeen Sheriff Court papers as 48 Bayview Court, Aberdeen – approached the disabled service counter at a branch of Lloyds TSB on two occasions, offering bank statements and withdrawal slips belonging to other people.
The court heard a bank worker – who thought Walker was deaf – let her withdraw £400 from one account on June 12 and then £200 from another nine days later.
Walker, who admitted two charges of theft and one of attempted theft, was jailed for six months.
