Aberdeen FC will vote NO to newco Rangers in SPL

ABERDEEN FC this afternoon became the fifth club to confirm they will vote against a newco Rangers joining the Scottish Premier League.

The move effectively consigns Charles Green’s Rangers to start life outside the top-flight, with Inverness, Hearts, Dundee United and Hibs already making public their intention to vote no.

Dons chairman Stewart Milne said: “Traditionally we have preferred not to make public our voting intentions, but in light of the level of interest and the fact other clubs have chosen to show their hand, on this occasion I can confirm it is our intention to oppose readmission to the SPL for any Rangers newco.”
