THE anxious parents of cancer-stricken youngster Olivia Downie were today waiting to find out if she is well enough to fly home from a Mexican hospital.
Olivia, 7, was still squeezing her mother’s hand – but it was not known when the little tot can return to the North-east.
Linza Corp, of Families Against Neuroblastoma (FAN), has been helping to try to get the funds in place. She said: “The plane is there, ready to go and all the paperwork is done. We’re just waiting for Olivia to be ready.”
