Video: Aberdeen dancers aiming for Royal Albert Hall show

AN ABERDEEN dance duo is bidding to perform a Robert Burns ballet at the Royal Albert Hall.

Iona Ballantyne and Lewis Seivwright, both 18, of the city’s Danscentre, were entered into the Dance Proms 2012 competition and made it to the final four.

A public vote ends on Sunday and the winner will perform at the Royal Albert Hall in November.

And former Hazlehead Academy pupil Iona is desperate to perform Ae Fond Kiss at the London showdown.

Iona said: “It would be amazing if we got to perform there.”
