RUNNERS taking part in ‘the first race of the London Olympics’ took to the streets of Aberdeen.
An alternative Olympic Torch Relay was set up 10 days after the official version left Land’s End on May 18.
Now only eight days behind, the Real Relay hopes to beat the Olympic equivalent along the same route.
The Real Relay baton passed through the Aberdeen area yesterday in what is a non-stop, all-running event for children’s charity CHICKS.
