Kintore Arms Inn: The Square, Kintore

EVERY good local pub should be at the heart of its community and the Kintore Arms takes that to extremes.
Slap bang in the middle of the village, with the historic town house on one side and the old bank building to the front, it has been at the centre of life for generations – as the sepia tinged pictures of a bygone era adorning the walls bear testament too.
Thankfully, this inn has moved with the times, serving hearty pub grub with plenty of contemporary twists.
I plumped for the perfect bar-food barometer, a simple cheeseburger (£6.60). Served with delicious hand-cut chunky chips, creamy coleslaw and a crisp salad, it was perfect.
My wife’s baked potato with chilli (£5.30) was piping hot and packed a real flavour punch, again with a tasty salad.
Our little ones were kept content with sausage and mash and, like father like son, burger (£5.75 each ) – making mum and dad jealous as fantastic desserts were part of the deal, including a moreish sticky toffee pudding.
With excellent service, great pub food, good value and a family-friendly approach, the Kintore Arms is ready to serve the next generation of customers.
