COUNCIL bosses want to pay someone £75,750 to find new ways of scavenging rubbish.

The job involves salvaging household goods which have been dumped at Aberdeenshire Council recycling centres, which it’s thought could be resold to raise £350,000 a year.

A report for Aberdeenshire Council said the “invest to save” proposal would also cut waste going to landfill.
