Aberdeen community stalwart recognised in Honours list
Paul O’Connor among those recognised by Queen

AN ABERDEEN community stalwart and a lifeboat rescue worker were among a host of North-east people to receive gongs from the Queen today.
Paul O’Connor – the manager of Inchgarth Community Centre landed an MBE for services to the community in Garthdee, Aberdeen.
Helmsman Andrew Findlay – based at Macduff RNLI station in Banff – was handed an MBE for services to Maritime Safety in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.
Deputy Chief Constable Colin Menzies, of Grampian Police, picked up the Queen’s Police Medal and Professor Peter Sharp, professor of medical physics at the University of Aberdeen, was awarded an OBE for services to healthcare science.
