Charles Green stunned by Rangers critics
‘Negativity surrounding the club’

A BATTLE for the Rangers newco has broken out between Charles Green and a consortium led by Walter Smith.
And Green today hit out at the negativity surrounding his attempts to revive the Glasgow club.
Green said: “All this negative energy is diverting away from resolving outstanding issues with the SFA and sitting down with members of the SPL to ask them if we can come back in their club. All we have is distrust.”
Reports today suggested Smith’s group would need to fork out up £20 million to persuade Green and his backers to walk away.
