FORMER Aberdeen FC chief executive Keith Wyness insists Scottish football should grasp the opportunity it currently has to force through change.

Wyness believes the top-flight clubs should say “no” to allowing a Rangers newco into the SPL, as the Light Blues look to recover from plunging into administration.

He said: “Aberdeen FC and the rest of the SPL teams should only think long-term. If they allow a newco Rangers in, given all they have done, they would damage the credibility of the league.”
