Fusion: Holburn Street, Aberdeen

AFTER the ultimate lazy Sunday morning, it was only right we kept with the doing-as-little-as-possible theme.

So rather than slaving away in the kitchen over the evening meal, we decided to head to Fusion for a takeaway.

With eyes bigger than our bellies we were drawn to the Cantonese banquet meal for two (£29) – which was whipped up for us in a speedy 20 minutes.

We delved into the huge starter of won tons, prawn toast and barbecue ribs – all delicious. However, it was the crispy pancake rolls with a hint of lemongrass that stole the show.

Up next was the crispy duck which was cooked to perfection, followed by chicken with black bean which had chunky bits of meat in a rich, tasty sauce.

Hubby gave a big thumbs up to the beef mushroom dish with its BBQ tang and the prawn satay was tasty but, for me, it could have done with a bit more chilli kick.

The dishes were accompanied by special fried rice and after the feast we were both stuffed – with hubby declaring that Fusion might just be his new favourite takeaway.
