Ex-Oasis star ‘too busy’ for dance competition

NOEL Gallagher has turned down an invitation to slide away across the dancefloor on BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The former Oasis star – who is touring this summer with his new band High Flying Birds – was approached by Strictly bosses but reluctantly turned it down because he was busy.

Explaining his decision, Noel said: “I’m flattered. Sadly though, I’m a bit busy. Maybe next time.”

Other names rumoured to have been approached for this year’s show include EastEnders stars Sid Owen and Charlie Brooks, who play brother and sister Ricky and Janine Butcher.
