ABERDEEN’S Matthew McAllister was today tipped for glory – by the man who led Scott Harrison to a world title.
Welterweight McAllister is set to co-headline at the Beach Ballroom on Friday alongside fellow Aberdonian Darren Traynor.
In preparation, McAllister has racked up tough sparring sessions with controversial former WBO featherweight champion Harrison in Glasgow.
Harrison’s father Peter has overseen the training sessions and insisted McAllister can go on to land major title success.
He said: “Matty is a tremendous talent and has the potential to go all the way to the highest level in the professional ranks.
“He has the world at his feet and everything that is needed to be a champion.”
