SCOTTISH road running international Ben Hukins completed a hat-trick of wins when finishing ahead of a field of more than 3,600 participants in the City of Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10K.

The Aberdeen AAC runner pulled clear of his closest challengers shortly before the 4K mark and went on to win comfortably in 32min 23secs.

Former Scottish 1,500m champion Nicola Gauld showed her class by winning the women’s title in 35:38, a time bettered by only eight men.
