HUNDREDS of tiny dogs dressed up as tacos, ballerinas and in a variety of other costumes fell short of setting a world record.
But organisers said they were encouraged by the turnout for the first Cinco de Mayo Chihuahua parade.
Organiser Mark Valentine said about 500 dogs, most of them Chihuahuas, showed up in costume for the parade in Kansas City, Missouri – short of the goal of 700, which would have been a record.
