HIGH winds, heavy rain and snow were set to batter the Aberdeen area today as flood warnings were issued.
And police said the B977 Fintray to Kintore route was shut today due to flooding, as the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and the Met Office gave weather warnings for Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
A spokesman for the Met Office said torrential rain and colder temperatures were expected to continue into tomorrow.
In Aberdeen, the weather expert said up to 30mm (1in) of rain could fall today, adding that temperatures would only reach around 8C (46F) in the next couple of days, with snow forecast for higher ground.
