Two cars set on fire in Aberdeen

POLICE were today hunting firebugs who torched two cars less than a mile apart in Aberdeen.

The incidents, which happened within 90 minutes of each other, destroyed both vehicles.

Firefighters were called to Aberdeen’s Westburn Park about 2.30am after a silver Hyundai i10 was reportedly alight in the middle of a football pitch.

A Jaguar was then reported to be on fire in Canal Place, in Aberdeen, where another Jaguar was also damaged by the blaze.
