Currymount: Rosemount Place, Aberdeen

AFTER an exhausting gym session, neither hubby or I had the energy to cook. And with our tummies rumbling, there was only one choice – takeaway.
So we reached for the Currymount menu and our eyes were immediately drawn to the banquet for two (£24.95). After all, who cares about the calories – we’d already worked them off.
The tasty vegetable and chicken pakora – accompanied with salad and dips – were a nice start to the meal and certainly didn’t last long.
Hubby’s rich and tomatoey chicken roshni was described as a dish for garlic lovers – and it certainly would have kept Dracula himself at bay.
The only disappointment was that it needed a bit more kick on the chilli front.
My chicken rilsila with its creamy blend of ground almonds, coconut and pineapple was yummy. And it went perfectly with the sweet peshwari nan.
The mains were accompanied with generous portions of pilau rice and popadoms, plus a spicy saag aloo – which we hadn’t ordered, but was a very welcome addition.
After the huge portions and calorie overload, we were stuffed ... and in need of another gym session.
