A FORMER postal worker was today facing criminal charges over missing mail in Aberdeen.
Residents in Aberdeen’s Bucksburn area demanded answers after bills, bank statements and junk mail failed to arrive.
Some Aberdeen householders claimed parcels had been outstanding since July.
Royal Mail launched an investigation after the Evening Express highlighted the problem.
Today it was understood a former employee has been reported to prosecutors in connection with missing mail in Aberdeen.
Mum-of-two Sue Butler, 64, of Aberdeen’s Auchmill Road, said she contacted mail bosses several times over missing items.
Today a Royal Mail spokeswoman said: “Royal Mail has carried out an investigation.
“A case has been forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
