Public to have say over plans for new Sainsbury’s

Supermarket proposal in the spotlight

RESIDENTS have been asked for their views on plans for a new supermarket.

Sainsbury’s wants to demolish the former cattle mart in New Elgin Road and build a store and filling station.

A pre-application consultation on the proposal – which would create 500 jobs – was held at Elgin Museum Hall. More than 200 people attended the event.
