NEW Aberdeen FC loan star Nikola Vujadinovic was today challenged to prove he is a one million Euro player.
An SFA panel has given the green light to Aberdeen FC’s application for a work permit for the Udinese defender.
Montenegro Under-21 international defender Vujadinovic will now spend a year on loan at Pittodrie, with Italian top flight side Udinese paying his wages.
Udinese snapped up the defender for one million Euros (£800,000) from CSKA Sofia in 2008.
McGhee said: “Nikola cost Udinese one million Euros and now he has to show at Aberdeen why they paid that fee for him.
“He has to come in and do the business for us in the SPL.
“Despite the one million Euro transfer, all that matters is that he plays well for Aberdeen.”
McGhee insisted Aberdeen will work over-time to ensure new loan signing Vujadinovic can make his debut at the weekend.
The Pittodrie boss wants the defender to make his bow along with loan signing Andrius Velicka, who recently joined from Rangers.
