FORMER Aston Villa star Lee Hendrie today pleaded for Aberdeen FC to resurrect a deal to take him to Pittodrie.
The ex-England international revealed he was so convinced he would be signing for Aberdeen FC he told his family they would be relocating to the Granite City.
Hendrie, 33, was set to sign a contract after impressing in a 1-0 pre-season friendly defeat to Dunfermline.
Then it went quiet and Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee snapped up Scotland cap Paul Hartley.
Former Premier League star Hendrie has been left in limbo and forced to play Sunday league football with his friends to keep his fitness up.
But Hendrie, who was released by Derby County, admits he would still love to join Aberdeen.
He said: “If Aberdeen were to show their interest again I would definitely be interested.”
