Royal Mail launches ‘intelligent’ stamp
New stamp uses smartphone technology

THE Royal Mail today launched the world’s first “intelligent” stamp.
The “intelligent” stamp is the first to work with image recognition technology, which will launch exclusive online content when activated by an iPhone or Android smartphone.
Royal Mail has created a short film of Bernard Cribbins reading WH Auden’s poem Night Mail – first made famous in a 1936 documentary – for the launch of the “intelligent” stamp.
