Child left with head injuries after crash

A THREE-YEAR-OLD child was taken to hospital with head injuries after a crash on a busy road.

The crash, involving a grey Honda Civic, happened on the A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road, at the Ugie bridge.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at around 5.20pm.

Police closed the road for an hour until the vehicle was recovered.

The woman driver and a child were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

A Grampian Police spokesman said: “The child suffered a minor head injury in the incident.”
