Aberdeen FC star will thrive after move to Rangers

Wright offers his advice to loan star Foster

FORMER Aberdeen FC star Stephen Wright today claimed moving from Aberdeen FC to Rangers will be a huge test of Richard Foster’s mental strength.

Foster will spend the season on loan at Ibrox, with Andrius Velicka relocating to Pittodrie after a transfer deadline day swap.

Stephen was the last outfield player to make the move from Aberdeen FC to Rangers, sealing a £1.5 million deal in 1995.

The 39-year-old claimed the pressure of turning out for the Light Blues every week in front of packed stands will be a challenge Foster must overcome.

This is quickly looking like the best bit of business AFC has done in years!! Foster to Rangers and we get a proven SPL striker and now we're taking in a 1m Euro rated LB/CB to cover Foster. Brilliant AFC!!!

I agree. Foster has been rather poor over the last season. strange swap but least we have received a proven goal scorer, or they usualy are until they play for us!! Another defender would of been good to deal in aswell. Bring on UTD

Brian - Just as Hartley scored a hat-rick of pens in his debut for us, maybe Foster will score a hat-rick of OGs on his debut! Red Army!
