MICHAEL Hamilton, the father of Peter Tobin’s victim Vicky, has welcomed an offer to meet officers investigating the criminal’s past.
Mr Hamilton, whose daughter was murdered by Tobin, said he was “pleased” to have spoken to Scottish Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill.
The arrangement by the minister for Mr Hamilton to meet detectives emerged after the meeting.
Mr Hamilton, 60, said: “We don’t know when the visit to meet the detectives will take place. They are going to organise that. I said it would be much appreciated.”
Tobin, 63, who is serving life for murdering three young women, is challenging his 30-year sentence for killing Vicky Hamilton.
