Boy killed in Bangkok shooting

A NINE-YEAR-OLD boy was shot dead as he got off a bus in Bangkok, police in Thailand said today.

It was thought he stepped into the crossfire of rival high school gangs.

The fatal shooting was the latest incident in Thailand’s long-running problem of violent fighting between rival schools.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Prasit Taprasitjit said three shots were fired at the bus.

The child was hit by two bullets and died later in hospital.
