ABERDEEN FC football director Willie Miller today declared himself “satisfied” with the deals done before the transfer window closed.

A hectic day of negotiations ended with Aberdeen FC boss Mark McGhee securing Rangers striker Andrius Velicka on a season-long loan deal.

Utility player Richard Foster went in the other direction, also on loan for a year.

Andy - on last seasons form i agree with you on Ifil but this season he has been our best defender by a country mile so to say he is not good enough basing it on this season would be very harsh. If you are then like to know what you think of the rest of the defenders

Andy C do you go to games??? Ifil has been great this season so far, the whole defence has, 4 games 3 wins, 1 goal against, Ifil does try too many long passes but only, when the simple ball can be played, I bet we wouldnt have lost a goal last Saturday if Ifil was clearing the ball and not young Mitch Meggison.

Darren - if u think Ifill is good then I honestly must question your eyesight - sorry- he is Highland League status, if that.

Foster to Rangers makes sense when you consider the new rules on homegrown players and limitations to the Euro squads. Why use one of your limited foreign players in a position you can get Foster (although I believe he was initially after Alan Hutton) to fill as a homegrown player?

That's Foster done at AFC then. Not sure this deal really suits us at all. I think Foster is a key member of our squad to go to *them* and we get what? An unproven and injruy-recovering striker they didn't want? We ought to have bargained a lot better I feel.

at least ifil defends, okay he is limited but clears his lines when he doesn't have to think ,more than can be said for the ever marauding diamond ,if mcghee had been watching same game as me on saturday he would of seen that diamond lost possession in midfield which then led to the goaland if it hadn't been for howard we would of lost by more as he kept getting exposed by the marauding diamond
