Folly treated for knee injury

Suffering from playing on Alloa’s artificial pitch

ABERDEEN FC boss Mark McGhee today admitted Yoann Folly is still suffering the effects of playing on Alloa’s artificial pitch.

Teenage midfielder Fraser Fyvie is due to undergo knee surgery after rupturing the cruciate ligaments in his left knee during last week’s 3-0 League Cup win at Recreation Park.

McGhee confirmed Folly has also required treatment to a knee injury, which the club physios have attributed to the Togo international playing on the hard surface at Alloa’s ground.

“Yoann has a very sore knee and it’s been blamed on him playing on that pitch,” said McGhee.
