HOUSE-HUNTING can be a tiring lark with all that rushing from one appointment to another.

It leaves no time to decide what’s for dinner – so a takeaway is the only option. Already stressed about houses, we quickly opted for “Banquet No 2” to make things easier.

The starters were a cracking way to get going. The vegetable pakura were fine and crispy while the vegetables had a nice wee kick. Having swapped the chicken tikka for chicken pakura I was slightly disappointed.

The chicken itself was fine but the batter lacked the real crispiness I was looking for.

Avoiding the usual wimp-like dishes, I went for chicken jalfrezi, which, I am afraid to admit, was just too hot for me.

The Boss’s South Indian garlic chilli chicken was also a bit hot (as it says on the menu) but she soldiered on and enjoyed a dish laden with garlic, chillis and a tomato sauce.

Along with two rice, papadums, Bombay aloo, nan bread and dips, it was a bargain at £20.95 – just enough to make the stress disappear.
