VANDALS have smashed windows at one of Aberdeen’s newest schools.

Police were investigating the vandal attack at Riverbank Primary School, on Tillydrone’s Dill Road.

Officers said the windows at Aberdeen’s Riverbank Primary School were believed to have been smashed some time between 4.30pm on Friday and 5am Monday.

A police spokesman today said the cost of repairing the damage to the Tillydrone school’s windows had been estimated at about £1,000.

Riverbank Primary School – which replaced Aberdeen’s Donbank and St Machar primary schools – opened its doors two years ago this month.

Police were appealing for anyone with information about the Aberdeen school vandal attack to contact them.
