Video: Body CCTV hailed a success by Grampian Police

A THREE-MONTH pilot by Grampian Police of body-worn CCTV cameras has been hailed a success.

The units, mounted on officers’ vests in the Aberdeen area, provided footage of dozens of incidents, including assaults, drink driving, vandal attacks and disturbances.

And senior officers today revealed the units were just as effective at preventing crime in the Aberdeen area as they were at ensuring offenders were prosecuted.
