Scotland will get it right for Euros, says Levein
Manager defiant despite defeat

CRAIG Levein today put Scotland’s 3-0 defeat to Sweden down to a simple lack of experience within the ranks.
Sweden were comfortable winners as goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Emir Bajrami and Ola Toivonen gave them a deserved victory against a makeshift Scots side in Stockholm.
However, the Scotland manager is confident there will be a vast improvement in next month’s Euro 2012 qualifiers against Lithuania and Liechtenstein.
Levein had six withdrawals ahead of the friendly, having already lost first-choice goalkeeper Craig Gordon and defender Gary Caldwell to injury beforehand.
He said: “I’m disappointed overall but I don’t want to get too down-hearted about it. I feel that there were perfectly valid excuses for our performance this evening.
“One of them, of course, was the way Sweden played and I thought they played very well indeed.
“I think the lack of experience was evident and part of that was the host of withdrawals.”
