Sanremo Pizza: Union Grove, Aberdeen

IT’S not like I need a huge amount of persuasion to order takeaway pizza.
But Sanremo’s buy-one-get-one-free offer, combined with free delivery, helped seal the deal.
With any 12-inch pizza up for grabs in the two-for-one, I opted for the Spicy Hot One (£10).
With two fiery words in the name I was fully expecting my mouth to be burning, or at least a little bit singed – but to my disappointment there was a distinct lack of heat anywhere to be found.
Packed with beef, sausage and jalapenos, it was certainly tasty – but even my spicephobic flatmate managed to knock back a slice without so much as a watering eye.
Her choice, the Vegetali Supreme, came loaded with all sorts – olives, mushrooms, tomatoes and peppers.
For those troubled individuals who don’t like meat on a pizza it was a dream – with the fresh-tasting vegetables retaining a bit of crunch – and it was so filling there were plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day.
