Formartine dump Dee in Aberdeenshire Cup

FORMARTINE United boss John Gardiner insisted there is still more to come from Barry Somers after his match-winning turn against Banks o’ Dee.

The goalscoring midfielder bagged a brace as the Pitmedden side progressed through to the next round of the Evening Express Aberdeenshire Cup.

His last minute winner was cruel on Junior Superleague side Dee, but there was no disputing the quality of his two strikes.

However, North Lodge Park manager Gardiner claimed there is still room for improvement for the ex-Keith man, who was joint top scorer in the Highland League last season.
