IT’S true that there’s really nothing better than having someone cook for you.
So, after a busy week, my pal and I decided to indulge in a takeaway curry.
And for once we managed to eat guilt-free, as Stonehaven’s Nu Spice cooked one of the freshest and healthiest-looking Indian meals we’d ever had.
To start, we shared a portion of deliciously light, mixed pakora (£3.50). We then shared two dishes, opting first for the chicken baglore kazana (£7.95), with its lightly spiced, rich sauce. We also went fora saag paneer (£2.95) – spinach expertly combined with Indian cottage-style cheese and fresh coriander. With pilau rice (£2.20), a free portion of poppadoms and some moreish, fluffy peshwari nan (£2.50) the whole meal came to a very reasonable £19.10.
But the most impressive thing about the meal was not the price – it was the freshness of the food.
Finally, a takeaway that takes away all those sinful, post-guzzle feelings!
