Peterhead signing delight to return

PETERHEAD defender Stuart Smith is delighted to have put pen-to-paper on a new deal with the club.

The former Aberdeen FC youngster signed a one-year contract this week to extend his stay at Balmoor.

Left-back Smith admits there was never any doubt in his mind that he would stay on with the Blue Toon.

He said: “I was chuffed to finally get it sorted out.

“There was never really any concern that I wouldn’t be signing a new deal, it was just a case of finding the time where we could sit down and get it done.”
