BUCKIE Thistle president Mark Duncan has sensationally resigned from the Highland League champions.
The shock news comes just weeks after the Jags were crowned champions for the first time in 52 years.
Duncan today revealed he is stepping down as a matter of moral principle after a secret meeting was called without his knowledge by former committee members of the club, including two former chairmen, to discuss the future of the private members’ Buckie Thistle social club.
“What has happened is quite unbelievable,” said Duncan, whose brother Murray has also stepped down as a director at the club.
