Barrie’s 65 and 72 nets him Royal Aberdeen medal
One stroke win for Bon Accord man
Published: 07/06/2010
BARRIE Edmond, of Bon Accord, won the Royal Aberdeen medal in the Links Championships.
Barrie (65, 72) finished one stroke ahead of clubmate Alan Shand (73, 65) and Caledonian’s Barry Reid (68, 70) after the qualifying rounds.
Alan had some consolation though, as his 65 was good enough to win the Neville Smith Cup on a countback and his net total of 132 (70, 62) was enough to win the Class 1 handicap trophy.
