Harding crowned mini-golf champion

Midlands player scoops first prize

FORMER World Crazy Golf champion Chris Harding won the inaugural British Mini-Golf Association Scottish Open.

The Midlands Mini-golf club competitor won by two shots with a 19-under-par aggregate to lift the £500 first prize at the Pirate Island Adventure Golf in Aberdeen.

Finland’s Jouni Valkjarvi, a two-time BMGA British Open champion, was second after he beat Michael Smith, of Kent, at the sixth extra hole in a play-off. Peterculter’s Murray Bowman was 18th.
