Peterculter golfer chasing £500 first prize

MURRAY BOWMAN will fly the flag for the North-east in the inaugural British Mini Golf Association Scottish Open tomorrow.

Three-handicapper Murray, 26, is aiming to fend off the challenges of over 40 association players from around the world in a bid to lift the £500 first prize at the Pirate Island Adventure Golf in Aberdeen.

Peterculter member Murray, who represented Deeside in the Aberdeen and District Pennant League at the age of 13, is relishing the chance to take on the world’s best over 72 holes when the action starts at 9am.
