Panda Valley: Rosemount Place, Aberdeen

FEELING hungry like the wolf, there was only one place I was heading for an all too familiar Friday night takeaway – Panda Valley.
We opted for the luscious sounding mixed platter starter for two (£7.20), and weren’t disappointed.
Although the vegetable pancake rolls lacked that homemade feel, the shredded chilli chicken – of which I am not normally a fan – was just lovely. Nice and crispy and with a wee bit of a kick, it was perfect alongside the crispy seaweed and prawn toast. The Boss’ main course – the obligatory kung po chicken (£6.60) – had a lovely mix of vegetables and cashew nuts and was tangy and spicy enough to keep her happy.
In an ordinary world I would have gone for the usual beef curry, but fancying a change, I went for satay chicken. And it was just gorgeous.
A big fan of the nutty taste, this dish had it in abundance, with the massive onions and peppers having that perfect crunch.
And all of that for just £20.10.
