THE captain of Highland League champions Buckie Thistle has been told he requires a kidney transplant, it was revealed today.

Kevin Small, 36, who led his team to the title for the first time in 52 years at Wick last weekend, says he is now focusing on his health.

Mr Small said: “I have a condition known as IGA, it isn’t hereditary, and the doctors don’t know how long I have had it.”
