SPRING is in the air and everyone wants to make the most of the longer nights after the long and dreary winter we’ve just suffered.

That means skipping the cooking bit, so you can do more interesting things with your time instead.

It’s the perfect cue for a take-away, and this local eatery proved ideal when the pangs for some fine Chinese food hit us.

I went for the mixed vegetable curry with boiled rice (£5.00) which was packed full of crunchy fresh vegetables. The dark sauce was tangy, and, although it packed a real kick, it was not too spicy.

The portion was large, yet I still managed to polish it off along with the accompanying rice.

My girlfriend plumped for chicken curry with boiled rice (£5.10), which had succulent chicken pieces drenched in a dark, rich sauce.

All the dishes were eaten up and got a big thumbs up.
