The Justice Mill: Union Street, Aberdeen

THERE’S nothing like catching up with friends over a curry.
So when we found out The Justice Mill has a club devoted to this concept, our pub grub plans were set.
Just to confuse our palates, we started off with a large plate of nachos to share (£4.79). The starter could have fed a whole country, although luckily they were delicious.
The only gripe we had was the three measly jalapenos on top.
We then opted for the curry deal; curry with rice, poppadoms, naan bread, mango chutney and a drink (£4.99). Being a spice fiend, my eyes were instantly drawn to the chicken vindaloo. With the strong kick I could have done with more than one drink to wash it down. There were ample pieces of meat but the flavour was slightly bitter – I suspect the tomatoes could have done with a touch of sugar.
One pal opted for chicken korma. She was pleased with the sauce, and the large, tender chicken pieces: however, she thought the coconut dish lacked a distinct flavour.
We also shared two large onion bhajis (£1) which were crispy and moreish.
The third member of our party was tempted away from the curries by a Reggae Reggae chicken wrap, £4.99. The southern fried chicken worked well alongside the salad and wrap, but the promised “reggae” kick was missing.
