Colin Hendry faces debt claim
Neighbour claims ex-Scotland star owes £85,000

FORMER Scotland captain Colin Hendry is being sued by a former friend over an £85,000 debt, it was claimed today.
Reports alleged the Keith-born dad-of-four, 44, borrowed the cash to help with money problems before his wife Denise died last year, aged 43.
Lawyers acting for the neighbour, who allegedly loaned the money, have lodged a case at a court in Lancashire, seeking repayment.
Reports today alleged he borrowed the money from friend Hector McFarlane, 61, as a short-term loan to tide him over as he struggled financially.
But ex-insurance worker Mr McFarlane has now asked the courts to force Mr Hendry to settle the debt. Mr Hendry was said to be angry the case had been brought to court.
A Request For Judgement was issued by solicitors acting on behalf of Mr McFarlane at Blackburn County Court at the start of this month.
Such an action is taken when parties being sued do not respond to court summons.
Mr Hendry could not be contacted for comment.
