Man hurt in Windmill Brae attack

POLICE were today investigating a street attack in Aberdeen which saw a man taken to hospital.
Police officers were carrying out inquiries after the 27-year-old man was assaulted when he tried to prevent a fight breaking out.
The man was knocked to the ground and was kicked in the head and face by a man on the Aberdeen’s Windmill Brae.
The victim was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he was treated for facial injuries.
A Grampian Police spokesman said: “The incident happened between 3.20am and 3.40am on Saturday, March 13, outside a fast food premises on Windmill Brae.”
Investigating officer Pc Graeme Greenlaw said: “This was a particularly vicious attack that could have devastating long-term affects on the victim.”
